This is a true pioneer of the tequila world: the Don Julio 70 ‘Cristalino’ Añejo.
This super-premium tequila was created to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Don Julio’s distillery, “La Primavera.” It holds the distinction of being the world’s first-ever Añejo Cristalino, a style that has since become incredibly popular.
It is crafted from 100% Blue Weber Agave and is first aged to perfection for 18 months in American white oak barrels, just like a traditional Añejo. It is then carefully charcoal filtered to remove the colour, while retaining the rich, complex, and smooth flavours of the aged spirit.
This unique process creates the perfect “Cristalino” balance: it has the crisp, bright notes of a Blanco but the smooth, luxurious palate of an Añejo, with rich notes of honey, vanilla, and toasted oak.
