This is the legendary Ron Zacapa 23, one of the world’s most awarded premium rums, presented in its iconic bottle with a hand-woven petate band.
A true masterpiece from Guatemala, this is not a simple 23-year-old rum. It is a complex blend of rums aged from 6 to 23 years, created using the “Sistema Solera” method. This dynamic aging process takes place in a series of casks that previously held American whiskey, delicate Oloroso sherry, and rich Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry.
What makes Zacapa truly unique is that it is aged at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level in the famous “House Above the Clouds.” The cool mountain air slows the maturation, resulting in an exceptionally smooth, deep, and complex spirit.
Tasting Notes: The palate is wonderfully smooth and rich, with notes of honeyed butterscotch, spiced oak, dark chocolate, and raisined fruit from the sherry casks.
