The Macallan Terra was a premium expression in this series, created to celebrate the crucial role of sherry-seasoned oak. Its name, “Terra,” is Latin for Earth, highlighting the journey of the oak from forest to cask.

This is a 100% First-Fill Sherry-Matured whisky. It is matured exclusively in a combination of first-fill European oak and first-fill American oak sherry-seasoned casks sourced from two of Spain’s most distinguished family cooperages.

This specific maturation gives the whisky a distinctive character of toffee, sweet dried fruit (lemon and fig), and rich wood spice, with a deep, natural sunset-orange colour.
