The Macallan Lumina was the second expression in the range, created to showcase Macallan’s quest for the world’s finest oak. This single malt is a complex and vibrant whisky, matured in a unique combination of sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks, as well as hogshead casks.
This maturation process creates a bold, modern, and non-traditional Macallan. It focuses on bright and zesty flavours of creamy vanilla, wood spice, and ginger, balanced by fresh apple, pear, and lemon zest.
It is bottled at 41.3% ABV and presented in a striking green box illustrating a forest canopy, making it a distinctive and highly collectible bottle.
