The Smoke-Filled Finale to the Viking Legend Trilogy
The Highland Park Valfather is the third and final release in the “Viking Legend” series (following Valkyrie and Valknut). It was created in partnership with Danish designer Jim Lyngvild and is dedicated to Odin, the “Valfather” (Father of the Slain).
This expression is marketed as the most peated whisky Highland Park has ever released. To achieve this, the Master Whisky Maker used 100% refill casks. By avoiding the heavy influence of sherry or bourbon wood, they allowed the pure, aromatic peat smoke of the Orkney malt to take centre stage.
The bottle features striking Nordic design work inspired by the ancient picture stones of Stora Hammars in Gotland, Sweden.
