Distilled at the Glenrothes distillery in Speyside, this expression was bottled by independent bottler Cadenhead’s. Distilled in 1996, this expression has been matured using three bourbon hogsheads before just 942 bottles were produced in 2019 at a cask strength.
A weighty and complex spirit, Glenrothes whisky is produced on its site in Moray. Time and patience are key for the production, with a long distillation process and a decidedly lengthy maturation (which is arguably necessary due to the spirit style and cask types used).
The single malt is known for combining nuts and fruits with a distinctly sweet spiciness.
