Dalmore 15 Year Old

Dalmore 15 Year Whisky is a single malt that hails from the Scottish Highlands, initially matured for 12 years in American white oak ex-bourbon casks. Then, as Dalmore tradition states, the formula is split equally between three different sherry wood casks: Amoroso, Apostoles and Matusalem oloroso and aged for a further three years, before reuniting into this exceptional stuff. You can definitely sense the sherry in the nose, joined by notes of spicy fruitcake and orange. The palate presents a medium body, with more pronounced orange notes warmed by anise and cinnamon, followed by a woody hickory and a nice, smoky finish.
