“Caoran,” meaning ‘Peat Ember’ in Scots Gaelic, commemorates the bygone days when the distillery used peat to dry its malted barley due to coal shortages.
Unlike the modern Glenfiddich, this is a peated single malt, offering a unique and complex flavour profile. It perfectly balances the classic, soft, and fruity character of Glenfiddich (ripe apple, berries, and honey) with an earthy, smoky body and a subtle, salty finish.
