This is a true piece of Scottish whisky history: the inaugural bottling from the Lochlea Distillery.
This is the ‘First Release’ from the Lowland farm distillery (and former home of poet Robert Burns), bottled in 2022. This expression is a must-have for collectors, as it represents the very first taste of Lochlea’s single malt, with this first-ever release limited to only 7,385 bottles.
The whisky was matured in a combination of fresh 1st-Fill Bourbon Barrels and Pedro Ximénez Sherry Butts, showcasing Lochlea’s signature fruit-and-cereal character with an added twist of sweet spice from the PX finish.
