In this first release of the Macallan Edition series, a taste journey begins with soft oak notes and evolves to deeper, richer flavours of fruit and spice. This is a distinctive limited edition produced from eight of the finest European and American oak cask styles. (Not all but in some bottles of edition 1 you may see a little sediment/cloudy, the presence of sediment is a good indication that the whisky is genuine, sediment can be a natural occurrence in whiskies bottled above 46% abv and non chill filtered. This is just some of the natural oils in whiskey clumping together. Even in lower abv whiskies it is possible to get small amounts of sediment, as the chill filtering process does not remove 100% of the natural oils. It’s not harmful in any way.)
